Quick Career Tips
From Career Services
Issue date: 2/3/10 Section: Feature
Welcome back students!
Career Services is looking forward to the New Year and working with you! This is the time of year when most of us make those New Year's resolutions…so if your resolution was to actually "go up that hill" and see a career counselor, now is the time. But, wait! We have also made a resolution-and that is to continue to improve our services. Therefore, we are pleased to announce the Satellite Office located in Kessel Student Center, Upper Level Suite, Room 211, is now open for more hours than ever before Monday through Thursday! Drop in hours will continue to be from 12:30-2:00 there; however, Mondays our office opens at 12:30, and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays we open at 9:00. For those of you who are still not sure where that is, we are located in the office suite next to the Pace Higher One Card office. Our office is in the same area as Student Success and the Office of International Programs & Services, to name a few of our neighbors. Our other location is "up the hill" near "the townhouses" in Gannett House which continues to be open Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.
Q: I'm a transfer and this is my first semester at Pace. How can you help me?
A:Welcome to Pace! We are sure you will have a wonderful experience here, our campus has so much to offer in terms of academics, student organizations, athletics, internships, to name a few! The Career Services office offers a myriad of services and programs to all students including: our well-known co-op program, workshops and seminars on various topics, we host career fairs, an on campus recruiting program for those graduating, and provide individualized assistance based on your questions and needs (resume, cover letters, interviewing, job search, career management, assessment). You are welcome to use our services and join our programs right away! You can learn more about us on our web page as well.
