Last year gave us some of the most infectious and memorable songs of the 2000s. At every point during the year, there was at least one current song that you either liked or heard repeated constantly on the radio. We're honored to present to you the Paw Print's most unforgettable songs of 2008.
1. Just Dance - Lady Gaga
Italian-American Joanne Germonatta, most popularly known as Lady Gaga, assured us that everything's "gonna be okay" with her debut smash hit Just Dance. The lead single off her debut album The Fame, the song proved to be a hit single well into 2009. Written by her and produced by Akon, Just Dance, has capped a Grammy Nomination for Best Dance Recording.
2. Single Ladies - Beyonce
Beyonce's alter ego revealed her self on her latest album I am… Sasha Fierce. The lead song off the album, Single Ladies, accompanied with an electrifying dance video, propelled its way onto this list and can't seem to get out of our minds.
3. I'm Yours - Jason Mraz
Its tropical rhythm combined with Mraz's soothing voice made us not "hesitate" putting this song on our list. His album, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things, I'm Yours has been Grammy nominated for Song of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
4. Live Your Life - T.I. ft. Rihanna
After its debut at the 2008 Video Music Awards, there's been no looking back. Off of T.I's latest album Paper Trail, the song encourages us to not allow our search for fortune distract us from living life to the fullest. The single is T.I's third time at the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
5. I Kissed a Girl - Katy Perry
On her album One of the Boys, Katy Perry's I Kissed a Girl praises experimental lesbianism and speaks to our growing acceptance of homosexuality. I Kissed a Girl has been Grammy nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
6. Diva - Beyonce
