Last Wednesday, Sept. 24, saw the opening night of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra's 65th season at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford, Conn. It was a truly star-studded event, not only because of the opulence of Mortensen Hall, but because of the two soloists featured during the performance: world-class violinist Joshua Bell, and organist Christopher Houlihan '09, who spent last year studying under Jean-Baptiste Robin at the American Cathedral in Paris and won the Prix de perfectionnement for his work there.
